First Annual Danny 'Montana' Thomas Memorial Ride benefiting Prescott House Child Advocacy Center I am writing you to ask if your organization would participate in our Charity Bike Ride. The ride is the First Annual Danny 'Montana' Thomas Memorial Ride benefiting Prescott House Child Advocacy Center. While serving as the District Attorney for Jefferson County, David Barber established a center that provides one roof for the child victims, their families and the child protection professionals to come together. This special place is called the Prescott House. It is a lot more than just a house; it*s a warm, friendly and non-threatening environment. The Prescott House meets the very special needs of these children and the agencies investigating each case. The Prescott House is designed to simplify the process a child victim goes through, easing him or her into the criminal justice system. Prescott House provides a "home-like" setting for child victims of sexual & physical abuse to disclose their abuse to trained counselors and receive services such as counseling, court preparation, and court accompaniment. All services are provided at no cost to the families. The ride is in memory of Danny "Montana" Thomas who passed away last year in a single motorcycle accident. This is the schedule for the First Annual Danny 'Montana' Thomas Memorial Ride benefiting Prescott House Child Advocacy Center! Registration at Prescott House 8 until 9 am ~Also we will be serving coffee and light breakfast foods at PH ~ Bikers go from Prescott House to Vulcan on their own. Balloon release at Vulcan 9:30 The balloons will represent the children we have seen just this year at Prescott House. Emory Hubbard with the Jefferson County Sheriffs Office will be our Road Captain. He will give the safety instructions and kick stands up at 9:45. (Emory stated that the intersections will be blocked so all the bikers can exit without having to stop!) Emory is planning the ride, so I'm not sure of the route. We will end at Sports Page at 12:00 for lunch catered by Jim & Nicks. David Barber will speak and we will have a drawing for door prizes. After the door prizes are given out the riders are on their own. If you have any questions or would like more information, please feel free to contact me at your convenience. Thank you in advance for considering our charity ride. Ginny Posey Victim Advocate Prescott House Children's Advocacy Center 1730 14th Ave So.
